Single Parent
Woman of God, now that you have given your life to God, you have to trust him in every area of your life. I know that some of you are hurting, you feel betrayed, angry, bitter, and you have a lot of unanswered questions, and for some, you want revenge.
The Bible says, Mark 11:25 (NIV) And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
Now let’s be real. Some of you still have not forgiven the absent parent. Your saying certain things in front of the child/children about their dad. Your up all night plotting on how you can make his life miserable. Oh yeah, it‘s true for some, not all of you are doing it, but there’s a few. You have to let that go!!! If you don’t, that will hinder your walk with God, and it will also damage your relationship with your child/children. You are to be and example. You have to show the child/children that God is a good God, and with him there is no storm to strong that he can’t calm, and no problem to big that he can’t fix. You have to let them see love, peace, and happiness in the mist of the storms. The child/children are watching your actions, and listening to what you are saying about their dad. I’m not sure of the reason why you aren’t with the father, but I know one thing for sure, that God will be a father to the fatherless, trust me, mine was absent from my life, and God became my father. Psalm 68:5-6
Woman of God, 2009 is a new year. It’s time to go before the throne and release everything, I mean everything to God. Don’t hold back nothing, it’s between you and God, let it all out, because he knows everything anyways. He want force you to surrender it all to him, he’s a gentleman. God is waiting, he loves you, and he cares. Philippians 4:19 says, But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. So you stand on the Word of God and do what Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) says Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Yes, I know some of you are saying, but you’re married. Guess what, my husband is in the military, and when he is away for 7-8 months on a deployment at times I feel like a single parent, but the joy of the Lord is my strength. I rest in his arms knowing that with God, all things are possible. Keep your head up ladies, troubles don’t last all ways. Put all your trust in God, and let him direct your path. Remember the Bible says Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away, behold all things become new. 2Corinthians 5: 17 (KJV)
So out with the old worldly behaviors, it’s time for a new walk, talk, and a new attitude.
