In the morning I always pray that I would be a most yielded vessel unto the LORD. But this morning I prayed that the LORD would empty me of me so I could receive from HIM all that I need to be that most yielded vessel.
Emptying is a process. Most times it is a process you are not willing to adhere to. You have so much in you and it has been there a very long time. In fact it has roots that are hard to dig out…..reason being….they've been there so long you think they are a part of you (this is how I am….etc). But one of the processes of emptying is digging out roots and throwing away junk. You have a habit of being a pack rat when it comes to your feelings and your emotions and what you think is right or best for you. You also have a fear of letting go of who or what you think you are.
Emptying is a process. You have to learn to let go of all your hurts, all your pains, your anger, and all your disappointments. Emptying is learning to forgive and forget. You can't forgive someone if you keep remembering how they hurt you. You have to surrender all to the LORD and mean it with a truthful and caring heart. You must surrender to the LORD with repentance in your heart. So much needs to be let go within you. So much needs to be surrendered unto the LORD within you. You know the things within that the LORD has been asking you to give to HIM. HE is wanting you to want to be emptied of all that is not of HIM and of things HE did not give you.
As you start the process of emptying all that is not of GOD from your life you should focus on all that the LORD wants to fill you with, HIS goodness, HIS mercy, HIS love, HIS kindness, HIS grace, and HIS presence. The word of the Lord says 'seek ye first the kingdom of GOD and HIS righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you'. As you start seeking the kingdom of GOD things within you not of GOD start to not feel right and if you have a
willing heart, you start to get rid of those things. Seeking GOD is a emptying of self process. It always goes back to the flesh dying daily and throwing away the dead carcass.
Let me give you a little scenario…...
You have a garage…filled with junk….you can hardly get in it. A new car will be delivered to you within days….you have to clean that garage out….throw things away…because most everything in the garage is junk.
This is what the LORD is telling you…..it's time to clean out all the junk. You have to have room to receive and how can you receive when there is so much junk and trash in there. My question for you today is… are you now willing to be emptied so you can receive all that the LORD has for you?
My prayer for you this day is that you would become a more willing person to let go of all that is not of the LORD and be made ready to receive all that the LORD has for you.
